HEALTH and WEALTH??? I JUST DON'T HAVE TIME TO THINK ABOUT MY HEALTH OR MY WEALTH! I am too busy living...taking care of kids...making ends meet...attending meetings and family/school events. I don't have time to worry about how my body is behaving or if I am saving enough for my Golden Years. My immediate needs are always there begging for my time, my money and my energy. What is it in YOUR life that is drawing you away from your HEALTH and your WEALTH? The first step to change is recognizing there needs to be a change. What do you recognize that needs to change in YOUR life? Can you relate to one of the following scenarios? When we were 18-- ~~I'll worry about retirement later ~~I am young...I am healthy...It will always be that way ~~I will get a good job with a big company...they will take care of me ~~I have time...now I want to just have fun When we were 30-- ~~Can't worry about retirement.....have kids to raise, house to pay for....credit card bills ~~Wonder why I am so tired all the time....some of my friends are really getting sick ~~Why does medicine and doctor bills take so much of my income anymore ~~I wish I had just a little more income every month...it would help so much When we were 50 ~~I am worried about retirement but the kids have to go to college ~~What if I lose my job ~~Hope the stock market turns around, ~~My retirement fund is less now than it was 2 years ago. ~~Maybe I better start taking care of the body I live in...looking forward to a nursing home is not an inviting dream ~~If only my wife/husband had not taken ill When we are 62 ~~Will Social Security be enough to live on ~~How will I buy health insurance ~~Is it too late to worry about my Health ~~How am I going to afford to keep up with my lifestyle So much to worry about. So much to plan for. So much is out of our control and that leads to the "biggie"---STRESS. As Dr. Phil says the biggest "stressors" we deal with are events we allow to get out of our control. We allow them to get out of control because we often don't even realize we have a choice. Every day we reap the rewards/consequences of choices we made in the past but that does not mean the future can not be different...we just need to make different choices.
