Happiness Equals Health; Free Rubbo Art of Energy Friday Wellness Class Brings Health and Happiness to Hundreds

(PRWeb) November 29, 2006 -- RUBBO- art of energy Friday Wellness Class. Fridays, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. December 1st to 22nd, 2006. Free to the public. Held at Marin Ballet, 100 Elm Street, San Rafael, California.

"Exercise can be an effective, self-regulating method for managing stress, promoting healing and maintaining a positive outlook on life. There is growing evidence that positive emotions, such as happiness, are linked to good health and increased longevity," says Donald Rubbo, president of P.D.P. II Research Foundation.

The Friday Wellness class, started in 1997 at the invitation of the Humanities Department at Marin General Hospital, is led by Donald Rubbo and our Wellness Teachers, Elizabeth Meloney, Josefina Garcia Puerta and Brigitte McCulloch. They are compassionate, sensitive teachers, and especially qualified for teaching these transformative classes.

Qigong is one of the essential, healing components of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and consists of slow, simple exercise routines that are easy to learn, meditative practices and intentionally directed movement. Practicing Qigong has been found to be effective at preventing loss of balance and falling injuries among the elderly. Qigong techniques are suitable for men and women, young and old, athletes and sedentary and for the disabled.
